    Yes the learning curb here is quite steep. Before I do a hang I always test my gear. Usually us hangers set up in this order.
    1. Tarp (if needed I hate tarps so rarely use mine tarps block the stars.I am going to try to make some snake skins out of some old scrub net things)
    2. Hammock
    3. Underquilt
    4. Top quilt

    To decrease your tarp time set it up then put it in snake skins. Wrap those up and put them in your pack it works really well if you don't want to set up your tarp and look at the stars.

    Yeah the learning curve is steap and hard to deal with but it us rewarding once you got it down.

    I always use whatever is around to tie out to when I need a tarp- like trees and things
    The best night are when you don't need that tarp at all I've slept through plenty of win without a tarp and it's worth it to see the stars
