New: 2QZQ Gear - Stake Bag

    Stake bag

A stake bag made from Orange ripstop nylon so you won’t lose it!
Reinforced bottom with velcro tabbed top closure. Dimensions are 9” x 2 3/4”
    Weighs .2 ozs

    $12.00 each

Well with a rush of some pole pockets for the oregon hang , ZQ also snuck along the new stake bag they are set to release.

Here's a spattering of my initial impression with some pics:

The design is fantastic. Love the reinforced bottom, and the Velcro closure w/ tabs is much better than draw cord, which tends to bind up the stakes. Hi-vis orange is a nice touch- and the fabric weight is well chosen.

I AM able to fit 10 MSR groundhog stakes, even with heavy 2.25mm reflective cord leashes - (see pic). I've switched that cord out to zing it and 10 stakes fit very easily now.

As you can see, there is only 1 stake that is too long. It's a Coughlans brand Y stake, 8" I think. So if anything, maybe an inch taller? (Although, it's IMPOSSIBLE to make everyone happy and besides, any longer and it would become cumbersome for those who use smaller titanium stakes. So I say, leave it as is, unless someone insists on making it an inch or so longer.

I imagine this will not work with most snow stakes.

Another great product from Tim and the Queen. For those looking for a solution to tarp stakes, this is a no brainer.

Nice looking peg bag! Hard to misplace that (except maybe autumn!).

Yeah, I managed to score one of the first of these - I had asked if they could make something like this right around New Years. Turns out they already had it in mind, and worked out to make me one right before they added it to the site.

I decided on the orange, since it makes it easy to see, and harder to lose. Like Rip says, fits 8-10 stakes easily. Velcro closure with tabs seals securely, but is easy to open.

Love the reinforced bottom design. By not making the whole thing out of dyneema, but only the bottom section where the stakes might poke through, it comes in at a whopping 0.2oz!

    Great little piece of gear.

I have made several different stake bags for 2Q...this was the latest....he has been using this one for quite a while now. When silentorpheus asked us if we could make him one...I had one that had already been tested, and passed! Silentorpheus confirmed the color and size...thanks! We then decided to offer it one our website. ZQ

looks nice. Might want to offer 2 lengths summer and winter. ;-)

As I think of it I have something similar for tent poles that also houses my Sven saw. Just a thought. ;-)

Tim just got some 12" snow stakes today...RW is right...this size will not work with snow stakes! However, I am sure I will be making a bag for him that will work! We will offer the snow stake size on our website after I have get one made and know the correct size. ZQ
