And it begins, first DIY stuff sack

Here it is in all its crooked glory. My first stuff sack made from some orange rip stop I picked up at Jo-Ann's fabric. My eyeball close enough to even is way off. I'm going to give this to my boys. They will be the true tester of how well my stitching will hold up.

So it's a little crooked, some of mine are too I think it is in part that I didn't want to waste some strange shaped scraps and in part to my abilities as an operator of a thread injector.

Can't tell for sure, but make sure you either do a full rolled hem or melt the edges of the ripstop or it will start to unravel annoying fibers. Welcome to the addiction. So far I've made more stuff sacks than I can count, a tarp, top quilt, 4 pairs of wristies, pack cover/gear hammock/chair, working on a winter tarp now. I can stop any time I want to .....really I can.

soon you'll be like all the rest of us. . . looking for that next fix . . . er project to fix up I mean. . . now where did my tape measure go . . .

Welcome to the club. I started keeping a list of the projects I wanted to make. For each one I finish, I seem to add at least 4 to the list.

So far I've made an Under Quilt, A pair of Srgt. Rock's UL UCR's, a pair of Whoopie Slings, An Adjustable Structural Ridge line, a set of Pot Cozies, a couple of Ridge Line organziers, a Turtledog stand, a stove windscreen.

    Still on the list:

    A 3 season Sil Tarp
A UL Hammock from 1.5 Ripstop
    A Top Quilt
    A V-8 turbo Alchohol Stove
    A Pot Stand
    A Winter Sil Tarp
    A Hammock Bug Net
    A Winter Sock

    A summer Under Quilt
    A Summer Top Quilt
    A Asym UL Tarp

and I'm pretty sure by the time I get done with that I'll have a new list that is twice as long as this one.

Thanks guys. Yes I did roll the seam to keep the edges from fraying. I need to make two more " tree strap bags" and a vest for the dog for when were out during hunting season. Then who knows where the thread injector will take me. Dare i say top quilt?
