Hoot Are you planning to hang Friday night? If you want I could meet you at the trailhead and show you both campsites. It wouldn't take long to check them out. I know a shortcut to one site. would like to help with site setup. don't know if I would stay
    the night or not.

That's the Current Plan. RamenShamen and I are rolling down Friday and plan to Hang Friday Night then Link up with the Group Sat at the Trail Head.

I have no Idea when we will be Down on Friday. When we get a time frame straight I will Post/PM you when we are going to make it in. Would be great to link up.

Let me know what you think Disco. I think the video you posted it is traveled in the opposite direction. So the camp I indicated would be the third camp in the video.
We are hiking the Cuivre River Trail right?

Note in the above colored map showing a trail direction only the north loop of the trail is listed, 4 miles or so.

Hoot my suggestion was to take the trail in the other direction
starting from the trailhead X and go on the green section to the first camp.

second day continue on green all the way to where it is shown in red and this long hike can be shortened at two places if needed.

the only reason I thought of going that way was my impression of the
    two camps.

If you start on the trail marked in red then the first camp you come to is
not quite as nice as the first one you come to if you start on the one marked in green.

either one is just fine with me

Hoot and Jokerr it looks like I might also be coming down Friday at some point and hanging Friday and Saturday. If possible I will try and connect up with you guys. I can PM you my cell info but the last time I was on this trial I did not have any cell service.

I thought it might be mild weather by the time this hang came around but with over 50 schools closed today who knows. The current forecast says it will drop down to freezing at night.

I think I might stay at the campground Friday night. I will get there early
and be there if anyone wants to come by or stay the night at my site.

That way no one would have to wait at the trailhead for anyone else coming in on Friday. Then there is no time schedule involved, just be there
    whenever you get there.

I really don't want to be the one deciding on which camp site but I would
like to show both sites to someone so they can decide. Both sites are
close enough to check out Friday afternoon.

I will be on Campground site #46 which overlooks the lake. There are pictures of that site in my albums.

    Pad

Hey guys would a 29*78 air pad be to big for my hammock? My hammock is a double and is long. Just want to make sure I don't short change myself for warmth being my first time out in a hammock. Think I will be ok but want to be sure.
