I use embroidery/tapestry needles for mine. They are short and blunt witha large eye. They work wonders once you get the thing started.

I will have to agree with everyone. It is an addiction that only ends when you run out of rope! And then you just to buy more and the cycle continues!
I know your partial pain! I've spliced amsteel (different sizes), lash-it and Zing it both sizes, mason line, green dynalglide and some unknown cordage into whoopies, coninuous loops, ucrs, dogbones etc. All done with a folded SS leader line. But then I tried orange dynaglide and I am convinced that I have found. The bane of my existence! Never mind the issues moving through the bury but I have yet to pull the cord within itself. I am rightly stumped!
