EU and UK companies look good. (Eu one even did cuben fibre for £30 a meter)
Now just to figure out what I need to learn to make my own tarp
Certainly not afraid to get my hands dirty.

I'm thinking this will be a long term slow research project. But for 1.5m per 1m costing £5 or so even with all necessary extras it's not too costly to try.

Who knows if I'll give up and get something else while I try lol.

How do people find Elongated Hex tarps? First glance would make me think there are less setup options (No choice between diagonal pitch or A frame etc) but without having actually camped with a tarp yet I've no idea if that would be an unnecessary luxury anyway.

I dont miss the A frame vs Flying Diamond. Hex cut just works
Crappy weather, the sides stay steep, otherwise the guys go up on poles.

Its the perfect size and shape, no more than that. Winter I would want a bit more usable space though.

That's a very nice looking British 'summertime' tarp. That's what I'd go for.

If you don't notice the desire to pitch it otherwise I think hex tarp is a target. Either DIY or a warbonnet Edge seems a good complement to the DD I already have.

I've now had a chance to play with the Woodsman X and DD3x3 in the woods and can see how nice a coverage and extra liveable space it really gives.
But I need to get out there and use all these new toys before I take action on my next tarp.

There is a HH Expedition with a hex fly and snakeskins for £80 on BushcraftUK . According to Hennessy the silnylon weighs 530g and the polyester weighs 650 g.

I'd forgotten about Tenth Wonder.
There UL had put me off before for some reason, probably the number of people who preferred the greater space. Which now I've seen how huge 3x3m really is
That is a nice light weight.
And a darn good price at £21

Anyone know about the Tenth Wonder Sargasso Tarpaulin. It's on the heavier side than the UL (in at 530g) but as a hex cut and from a British company

Thanks mate. Since I'm not quite ready to spend right now that probably won't hang around long enough for me to get it. Also buying a hammock too seems a waste Though £80 for both is quite a good deal.
