    The Nite Ize cord tightener???

I just ran across the Nite Ize CamJam Cord Tightener and I was wondering how well they work or more importantly when they will fail. I was thinking about it for the tarp. I am not too sure about a piece of plastic holding up the hammock. Any input would be GREAT.
    Thanks

I saw that as well. While an intriguing piece of engineering - I think it is unnecessarily complicated/mechanical when you can accomplish the same thing more quickly and simply with their Figure 9's, Dog Bones, or prusiks, taut hitches, etc. If you really want to step up - Dutchware....

I've used the 9's and dog bones and now clamcleats and they seem ligher approaches to the CamJam. And you cannot go wrong with Dutchware!

    thanks

I just wanted to thank you all for the information on the fastener, I was unsure on how reliable they were going to be. Plus looks like I need to check out the Dutchware, thanks for the tip.
