I can't stand hiking and backpacking in the summer because of the heat, bugs, sweat, constant dirty greasy feeling etc. Mosquitoes absolutely love me and bug spray, thermacell, and dozens of other things I've tried don't work, believe me.
All that has been covered in other threads, but my question here is about top quilts. This may be the year I suck it up and get out there in the summer!
I just can't use my 30° sleeping bag above 50°, and even that is a struggle if it's in the upper 50s most of the night.
I'm considering a 50° HG Burrow. Does anyone have other suggestions or why I should or should not go with this quilt? Any experiences into the low-mid 40's with it?
