update used this setup this weekend and it worked good.40+ mph winds all nite up on the mtn top in the smokies and tarp stayed tight all night.

Im a noob so bear with me on this. Whats the purpose of the stopper knot on the prusik? Im not grasping that piece... everything else looks great though!
Consider the stopper knot like a button that is put into a buttonhole.

So does it serve any real purpose? Is it on the tail end of the main line that wraps around the tree?
Anyone have a video or photos of this style of setup? Wanting to possibly move from a continual ridgeline setup.
Simple enough, but pics would be helpful for us visual types.
I do basically the same thing but use one of the small Nite Ize instead of the prussic knot. Allows me to cinch the lines down tighter. They weigh next to nothing. Never had one slip on me.
