FWIW, The muffins alone are worth the drive.
As for Caveman, we know he can't be all bad, after all, he has a really nice dog.
As for gear, Sargevining can set you up well. If he doesn't have what you need, there's plenty of us who can pick up the slack. (I also know of some gear for sale when you narrow down your choices. )

Yep, Roanoke's all grown up! My grandparents are from Keller. I remember them driving us through Roanoke on the way to church. You're right. It was nothing but fields.
Bebe's Chicken showed up and it was a huge deal! Then the Nascar was built, and that was a huge deal. Den dat dere Wally-mart done got built.. and den liquor stores gallores. Yeehaw!
