A-H is like 5.5miles. G-H is closed and there is a reroute. From G you go south on the east side of the middle loop until you get to poin 11. Then the reroute is maybe a couple miles if that to camp H.

I think HamMike is right on. According to my GPS app we hiked 5.02 miles from the side trail split to F right after A. I don't have the exact distance between the parking area A and where the side trail hits, but a nice round to 5.5 is on target.

For what it's worth, the trek down the western side from H to A (on the original trail down to G) is 7.45 miles - at least from where our camp site was (not too far up the camp trail).

A question for those who have been on the re-routed trail up to camp H - is the logging still in progress in that section of the forest?

If you were there on a weekend, you would not hear anything, since they work weekdays, but if you walked up the logging road to camp H (a better route than the section of the re-route that is east of the road) you might have seen trucks and equipment that would tell you the logging is still under way.

There was no equipment on the road and we did not see fresh tracks (man-made, just a few deer tracks, what my uncle thought were small bear prints, and some other little critters).

I'll be hiking A-H for an overnight on the 16-17, assuming it's above 5 degrees.
