    DiY Bridgeish Type Hommock Thingy

Hey all. This is my first attempt as a DiY Bridge.

It is made of 1.9oz ripstop.
It is 7 feet long not including the suspension triangles.
The spreader bars are 1/4 inch poltruded carbon fiber.
Weighs in at 36 oz not including whoopies and straps.
The bug net has a zipper on the entrance side and omnitape on the off side and can be completely removed. The nets on the storage under the suspension triangles are omni tape for access from the outside.

So far so good. I'm going to spend the night in it tonight. All snugly. Wife's happy she gets the bed to herself tonight.

    That's a lot of storage!

Do you get to it from inside the hammock when you're all buttoned up, or is it separated from the body by an inner wall to keep stuff from sliding into your head or feet. Or both!

Looks like a great piece of handiwork. I'm gonna check tomorrow for the results of your first sleep.
It looks like you did a cat cut for the sides - like the Chrysalis. I love the Chrysalis! Some find it tippy - I say you get used to it. But we had a failure at the end of FH3. A 6" tear showed up next to the webbing along the sides. So if you patterned after them, be looking for those stress points. If you improved on their design then I'm going to be very interested in your design.
It looks great so far. Good luck!

I'm just happy I finally got to read a thread that had the word "poltruded" in it.

I got to sleep in my new baby and I loved it. Cant wait to try it on the trail. The head and foot storage are both accesable from the inside. The both have little tabs to hang things from like a water bladder. Its tippy like a kayak. What I mean is it feels tippy when you first sit down but very had to actually tip. I rolled over about halfway with one leg and one arm actually out and hanging down and could not flip it. I did cat cut the sides which makes for easier entrance and exit as well as giving me a nice veiw of the trees. Works well as a chair but the rolled tubing that runs down the sides cut into my leg after a while. Over all very happy.
