My finished torso length underquilts.com uq

I haven't seen too many people post pics of their finished underquilt from underquilts.com so I figured I'd show what mine ended up looking like. I filled it with 15.5 ounces of 700 fp down. The suspension is modeled after my hammock gear incubator. Btw this is the newer 60" 3/4 length.

Great job! I've been waiting for someone to post a pic of a finished one. How's the quality?

Thanks. Haven't had it out yet. This was the first time I hung it. I just finished all the suspension last night. Comparing it to my 20* incubator, I imagine it will get me to similar temps with the amount of down in it.

Quality is about what I expected. It is very well made. The only rough areas are at the channels. And if I could do it again I would make my own channels from grosgrain. But all in all I am very happy with it for only having $80 in it.

Sorry, but underquilts.com? Is this a site selling a kit or something? I tried going to it but it was a dead site. Am I missing something here?

Oh, nevermind. I opened a googled cached version of the site and see what it is now. The site must just be down. This is very cool.

I don't suppose there is a similar service out there for topquilts is there? I was just thinking the other night how nice it would be to just be able to buy the shell.

Underquilts.com recently announced that they'll also start offering a TQ shell. Check back at their site in a week or two and you'll see it. Details on the announcement here:

Nevermind again. I see he's talking about offering topquilt shells in the near future. Sweet! That would save me some time.

His site is up, you just have to add www at the beginning. He still needs to tweak his dns.
