    From Doublenest to Doublenest Deluxe

    Hey guys.

For the last year or so the eno doublenest has become where I spend a good bit of my free time. I feel like I have turned into a true backyard guy. I enjoy the comfort and relaxation of it more then almost anything else. The doublenest has been a huge part of that relaxation.

I like to hang sideways almost like your on a swing. I have loved the doublenest because you can stretch out completely sideways. This brings your feet up about 1 ft above your body and lays your head back which gives you a perfect view of the stars.

The only problem is I am about 6' 2" and while I can fit within the width of the hammock my feet at times will slip off...

So a little while back I started looking at the deluxe and finally bought one this past week. I hung it up right over the doublenest to compare the sizes... at first thought I thought is was a knock off because it hung tighter than the doublenest and it was said to be the same length.

    See attached images

So then decided to hang and check it out... I noticed immediately that it was not quite as comfortable as the normal doublenest. It seems like the middle part of the hammock is a little tighter so it doesn't cradle you as well as it should...

All in all it isn't horrible but not what I imagined.... It is still very wide and I like that part of it.

Have any of you guys experienced anything similar between the doublenest and the doublenest deluxe?

I am hoping that maybe I just received a dud...

I haven't had this issue yet, but I'm glad that you posted your experience on here. I know to kinda steer clear of the deluxe and stick with a DN.

I have 7 hammocks and the one I have on a stand in the house that I sleep on every night is an ENO DN. I also have the single and I'm addicted to these hammocks. I've been wanting to buy the new Double Deluxe (I'm 6'1" and 265 pounds), but I recently got a Warbonnet Traveler, NOWHERE near as comfortable as the ENO in my opinion, but it does have the double bottom which I needed. I did not know about the Pronest or I would have gotten it instead.

Now I'm stuck cause my wife will shoot me if I get an 8th hammock. I'll be following the responses to your post with GREAT interest!

My DND has a seam nearly in the middle through the length. I can get a comfortable lay on each side of the seam but also there is a large amount of material on each side.

Some may have better luck but I have more comfort with SN. I have not experienced the DN.

    Thanks Russel and Tyler,

@Russel, simple solution... sell 1 and by another ;o)

@Tyler... That is exactly what I was hoping would not be the case... I love the comfort of my DN... It is great but the DND does not seem to be designed properly... That middle seam was a bad idea...

I have three eno dn and one deluxe plus others ( I don't know how it happened). I find the deluxe is cut a little different, so you can't lay perfectly sideways. A 45 degree lay works really well.

I misspoke, I should have gotten the new Reactor by ENO, not the Pronest. I needed a double-bottom hammock without a bugnet. My Warbonnet Traveler will probably turn out to be a pretty good hammock if I can adjust the ridgeline.

Russel try the BIAS camper xl double layer. I just got one and it is eno on juice. Everything is super well made and the service is unreal.
