    Using a Prussick for Suspension?

I have used these knots before as ascenders on climbing ropes and static lines. I wonder if it would not work for my hammock suspension? I will try to use a Prussick on each end of the hammock suspension rope (stock Hennessey). Then I plan to use an SMC ring for the suspension line to loop through and come back to the Prussick. Then simply slide the Prussick til the sag is right and be done.

This should keep everything together and be very easy to set-up and take down.

    Am I missing anything here?

I tried doing this with some half inch thick rope I hade and it worked fine but the rope lent itself well to holding prusiks like climbing rope. I don't know about the line that comes on the Hennessy. Is the Hennessy rope slick at all? It look small on some of the videos I've seen. What would you use for the prusik?

I have used a prussik with my first hennessy. Had tree straps connected to a biner connected to the prussik attached to the stock lines. Worked well but really dug into those stock lines. Much easier to switch to whoopies and not worry.
