Absolutely. All of his stock is very oriented towards the budget-minded lightweight backpacker (especially hammockers, as a subset of that). It's all stuff that's useful in one manner or another for this particular hobby.

And he's done right by me every time I've ordered, especially with shipping.

But I though he already had his own forum...

You mean this isn't DIYGEARSUPPLY's own forum???

Makes so much more sense now

I agree... Scott needs his own vendor forum.

+1 on DIY Gear Supply... -1 from my wife due to me taking over the dinning room when I receive my order! To date it's been an IX underquilt, tarp, and backpack from 3 separate orders. All were delivered fast and at a great price.

I just put in an order for 36 yards of ripstop nylon. Me and the sewing machine are waiting patently.

I ordered some stakes from him as well as dyneema and Amsteel Blue. One problem: I don't think I ordered enough ropes. I'll find out at the end of the weekend. I may have to make another order!!!! I cannot find these ropes locally and he priced his very competitively as well as the shipping. No complaint from this end other than my own error in estimating rope length.
