You want to buy 2 sets in case you lose one.

Mad777 speaks wisely. It depends on your suspension. Some people also like them for ease of set up even though they have another disconnection. With the TI version the weight is less of a factor.

Well since I love sending you multiple orders i'll probably order a set and try them out, then really like them and order three more sets... Make that 4, I ordered more fabric this morning.

Thanks everyone for your help. I love this place.

Dutch hooks at the bottom (stake end), mini line-loks attached at the tarp end. I leave my lines (spectra no-tangle) and line-loks attached to the tarp.

Working on a picture for you.

If you have removeable straps in combination with something like whoopie slings, you don't need any connector. Just thread one end of your strap through the looped end. However, lets say you need to raise or lower the strap after initial setup, but there are branches in the way of doing that. You must un-thread and re-thread the straps. With Dutch clips, you simply unclip, move the strap, and re-clip! Nice and convenient.

If that was the single ring suspension video, Grizz used a ridgeline biner for suspension in that video for demonstration purposes, it is rated only for ridgeline, NOT for suspension. Dutch biners for suspension can be bought from jrb and soon from dutch directly... there are people using dutch clips, SUSPENSION biners and whooopie hooks without problems who are over tge recommended weight limit.

Hototo, thread for srs that I think auggiedog was talking about. http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=65528

Much respect to those people who invent, manufacture and sell the hardware, but I like to find ways to add convenience to my set up without the need for any hardware.

Like my hardware free tarp suspension set up.
