    My new Chair

I was inspired to try this after I saw another member build one.. Since I have access to a national forest, I thought I would try it. I cut down a tree and stripped the bark and here it is!

    Looks good & comfy.
But get yourself prepared for the statement about cutting down the tree.
    Good luck

I agree! The rustic style gives the stand to a proper "den/decor" look, a definite improvement over the plain 2x4's in the original design. Awesome job 1bigpaddle!

i like it... i like that it is rustic and the braces don't match... it just adds to it all and makes it look like its supposed to be there... also makes it look like it has been around a while... i don't care that you chopped the tree down, if it was a live go plant another one... if it was dead GREAT, one less thing to burn...
