    what to do with...

    Shoes!

When I am out, I dont wear my shoes into the hammock, and I hate leaving them on the ground because I have this weird thought that some coyote or other animal will take off with them.

So what do yall do with them ?

I think I may add a extra sized bag off the already existing bag that is on the outside of the hammock.

I have the grand trunk hammock.

on the ground beside my hammock. My feet smell bad enough. I've never considered something taking off with my shoes.

I guess you could clip a biner to them and onto your suspension.

Great, now I'll never be able to leave my shoes under my hammock again without having the same thought .

Before now, I've never considered it a problem and just left them under me on the ground.

Just underneath me on a mat or in my bag liner.

I have always left them on the ground below me with no fear of them taking off on me. However I have found a spider or two in them so I have been thinking of putting a s biner on the loop at the top of the heel and then hanging them from my suspension or ridgeline.

Heh. A little permethrin on the whipping knobs takes care of that, right quick. It won't kill most arachnids right off (their breathing apparatus is different from most insects', from what I've been told), but it sure smells bad to 'em. Besides, if it's warm enough for spiders, it's warm enough for skeeters...bring the bug net!
