Florida Big Cypress National Preserve

Just moved down to Miami and was looking for some places to hang. Big Cypress is pretty close to the Miami area and has some campgrounds. Only one I have tried is Bear Island which is conveniently situated in the middle of nowhere. Nice thing about Big Cypress is that in most areas of the National Preserve, you can literally camp anywhere. Walk into the woods and anywhere you want.

They also have off road trails that you can ride to in a car or ATV. Just throwing this info out there for anyone wanting some good South Florida camping.

Not sure when I'll be out again. I go to law school in Miami, so I usually head out to clear my head when I'm able to get out. But Big Cypress is an awesome park, definitely would fill the gap in hangouts that take place here in South Florida.
