Well weighed the spreader bars My Stock RR bars are 9.9oz thats all 5 pieces The CF bars come in at 5.8oz with all 5 pieces and 5.5 if you don't use the short piece. I was hoping for a little lighter but it did drop a 1/4 pound which is still a good chunk! Could drop a little more weight if I used Aluminum instead of the TI
Willing to make and sell sets? Cost?

Thank you for all the kind comments..It was a fun project I have always liked CF and thought it would be cool to use Ti for the metal used in the spreader bars. The pictures do them no justice they look almost holographic ..One thing for anyone that is going to make a set make sure you use a mask when cutting this stuff!!!!! if those fibers get in your lungs they don't come out!! Now to find the time to put them to some real use
Have you tried carbon fiber arrow shafts? I use those on my Switchback with the shaft inserts to strengthen the ends. Most archery shops that have practice ranges will give you the broken shafts or at least charge about nothing. Might not be as thick as the shafts you have here but I think the work okay.

I thought about that I just think there would be alot of flex on them. I am defiantly on the hunt for cheaper CF I am going to talk with the manufacturer of the CF tomorrow and see if there would be anything lighter to use but still be rigid enough to not worry about a failure I would believe they would have something but if they do how much is it LOL thats the question..
Aluminum is hard to beat..I used 1/2od CF with a 3/8 thickness super strong .
Thank you.
They are a little bright lol may sand them.
Thanks Callahan
I know this is probably a silly question...but what about using your trekking poles?
I mean, your ability in the machine shop isn't to be believed (your stoves are proof enough of that), but it's still extra weight...
