    Check out my thread injector....

So, I'm pretty new to the sewing scene. I called good ol' grandma to see if I could use her machine (ok... It's not my thread injector, but its at my disposal).

Anyway, I was working on the project and she comes in and shows me the receipt from where she bought it in 1955. (She had a cookie recipe on the back...mmmmmm cookies) They paid $256. That's like a months wages back then. The old singer still purrs like a kitten. I thought it would be cool to share.

Wow, $256 for a sewing machine in 1955? Probably could have spent just a little more and bought a new car! But I've never heard of anyone making a down TQ with a car....

Ya, that thing seems pretty much bullet proof. I couldn't believe it cost so much way back then....but I guess if it's doing it's job after almost 60 years it was worth it.

I'm not sure if does anything fancy, but she has all kinds of different things you can stick on it. It sews a real straight line real nice though
