The pictures and report made me smile ... thanks for sharing that and a big thumbs up on the memories of a camping trip with your daughter.

AWESOME! Those memories (for both you and her) will last a lifetime.

Out of our three kids, my 12 year old daughter is the outdoorsman. She loves camping, and we've typically used our `73 VW camper bus to get out, but since I've been finding my way into the hammock scene, she's been on my case about doing an overnight hang. Problem right now is that I don't have enough cold-weather gear for both of us, and since she's only 12, I won't let her go on her own (although she'd probably do it!) So my plan is to get her hangin as soon as the weather breaks.

Here's a pic of her chillin in my first DIY hammock, between games at a softball tournament.

I'm working hard at getting more pics posted on my blog for both hammock camping and VW bus camping. If anyone's interested, check the link below.

Reading this was a great way to start my day. Thanks so much, and, by the way, the trip will be a special memory for her too. Well done!

    Wonderful job.....

I know exactly what you mean, I absolutely love it when my two come with although it's usually at a HF Hang, but it's still a great time.

Ya done good, Dad! Reading this makes my heart hurt, in that beautiful way that only another parent understands.

We plan to take BEEootiful Granddaughter to the 4th Annual Florida Hang next January - she'll be 6!

My little girl is 27 - I passed off the good china to her this past Thanksgiving, and dinner was at her place...the memories continue...
