on the amount of line... it depends how you rig it up... but the generic was is about 30'(10m) for the ridgeline, and about 5'-8'(1.5-2.5m) for each tie out... so you can do the math, or just save yourself the headache and buy the 180'(55m) spool and have enough for this set up and the next and some to hank up and throw in the pack...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

What about some kind of toggles or Dutch Buckles for hooking your whoopies onto?

I presume the carabiners are for hooking round the tree strap, or are they for the suspension end?

Some nice looking kit, have fun learning and experimenting

Bah...spotted the link now. Well, I think I'll use what I got first, to see how much line I will need :-)

Never really used paracord for anything either, as thats another thing I can't find locally.

Do you have any tree surgeon stores over there Rune? We call them aborists in the UK, they use all sorts of good line for various tasks. The 2.2mm dyneema throw line is good stuff ...

Welcome. You're certainly jumping in both feet first.

Cord wise There is also this stuff in germany or this (UK link). Dutchware is definately nice to have, especially with dyneema lines (they're kinda slippery).

You can go to Wal-Mart in the boating section and get some polypropylene cord for like 2 dollars it comes in bright green orange and pink. I use it as my tarp ridge line and tie outs and it works great no stretch.
God gave me two good legs and two good eyes I better use them.

Nope, I don't think there is a single one of those in the country. You're lucky if you find a hardware store here...

But I am on an island, and so the Marinas should be good for rope. So I'll go look for some dyneema rope or similar in one of those.

They are for the suspension end I believe. The tree huggers have a loop to thread itself trough. Then I'll use a marlin spike hitch and toggle for the whoopie and the carabinier in the hammock end of the whoopie. Does that sound right?

I'll save you the trip to the marina. They don't carry any hammock suitable ropes there.

Locally you could buy thin polypropylene rope at OBS, or spare "bardun" rope at Parabolflua/gsport. It's better than paracord for pitching a tarp.

The best option is zing it / lash it. And it works even better combined with Duch superflyz.

Other than that I suspect that your setup is a bit on the cold side for hammocking above the polar circle during winter. You will at least have to play around with combining the DD underblanket with the pads, and prepeare the pads with pad extenders for extra shoulder width.

Nice vids from the Folkeparken area, testing stove setup is my idea of fun also.
My next project is a fancy feast stove. Only problem is that I can't find a suitable hole puncher
