    eLiza's "Bling Bags"

After 38 years apart, I have reunited with my high school sweetheart, and I am trying to get her involved in the thrill of hammocking. She has yet to spend an overnight in her hammock, but she happens to be a wizard hand with the thread injector, and she was nice enough to run up these little drawstring bags for me to keep all that expensive little hardware [that none of us can do without, and want to take along] safe and secure from disappearing into the leaf mold on the forest floor.
I was hoping for one or two bags... Being a perfectionist she went into full production mode until she was completely satisfied with the results... I got 10. Some of them have a single layer of mesh for six pockets, on others she added a smaller circle to give a dozen. They snug up wicked tight, but pull right open into almost a bowl shape in your hand, and you can just throw a shoelace bow in the two cord ends so that they can't spill out in your pack.

    Congrats on the reunion !!

I reeeeeally like those, beats the heck out of hauling around a flat stacking tackle box, my current methodology.

Just reading "wicked tight" has me hankering for Shaws. Can't wait to get north in another month or two and do some serious damage to a bunch of lobster pounds, hike some trails, hang by the ocean and paddle some coves. July and Aug can't get here fast enough for me.
    Have sherpas, will travel...

Those look excellent, how can I order or commission two?
It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

I hear you "Rat". Mine have been in a lil' 4"x 6" double hardside, snap tackle box... works, but it's chunky, a waste of space and weighs 10x the bling. These just squish down and tuck in a corner of a pocket.
She really came up with a winner.

BTW- we have two group hangs up here come Sept, one with a lobster bake on-site... deetz in the NE forum

It isn't really a project until you start the modz....

So, I sewed a small loop of ribbon to one of the bags at the center point to allow me to clip in a mini-biner and snap extra stuff to it.

I'll get to try these out [and show 'em off] at the Hammock Home/ Burning Men Hang here this weekend.

Comet-Seeker~~ We are looking to produce these in a limited manner.
I don't want to overstep any of the HF guidelines and rules, or get in trouble with PayPal, etc. so, anyone interested should PM me for details...

My wife has one of them for her jewelry. I bet she won't mind if I dump it out and put bling in there.

Dutch, I don't think her idea of bling is the same as yours...
