Myself and a good friend made it out last night for some hammock camping.
We got set up about 9:30pm last night. Almost set up my hammock under a widow maker. It never did fall though.
This was the first time my friend had slept in his hammock.

Thanks. It got up to about 70 today. It was down in low 40's last night.
I taught my friend how to hang his hammock today after we woke up.
I ended up waking up several times through out the night. Coyotes were making a racket on the other side of the lake. Nothing like a dozen coyotes howling for a wake up call.
No doubt! Thursday night, there was either coyotes or some dogs making a racket for my first hang. Luckily I got abou 6 hrs of off and on sleeping.
Somebody say south Louisiana?? Hahaha...yes, that does look like my part of the country. The temps mentioned feel nothing like our temps though!

I've never been to southern Louisiana before. I might have to head that way sometime for a hang. I will have to make a hammock with a bug net before I go down there. I hear that the insects are pretty bad.
