I've added Mayo to my Weather Bug on my Droid and it looks like the temps are gonna be pretty cold tonight! But it's still colder here and snowing...again.
I'm really looking forward to this trip!

Well the rain has been very good for the river. The section we are planning to paddle, is up a little more that 12" since last week. More rain on the way.

I'm glad the rain is hitting in the right places. We've had too much rain and all the rivers here in TN are overflowing! I'm wondering though what kind of temps to expect.

Almost ten more inches in the last 24 hours. C'mon rain!

It looks like this rain is filling the upper basin and the contributions are coming form the Alapaha and Withlacoochee Rivers. This could end up with some flooding. That area has great drainage into the river system. The river is up 9+ inches today. At these levels, there should be no worries. Good current and no shoals! I know it's still two weeks out and the river can fall as fast as it rises so let's keep our fingers crossed! On the flip side, if it gets too high, we may need to have an alternate trip. I'll look for some alternate trips, just in case... (input welcome)

Just got back yesterday from the Juniper trip. We came earlier than planned because it looked like rain. I had the chance to repeat the Juniper Run on Saturday with a couple of friends. Timberrr had planned to take out a second crew on Sunday, but the skies made him reconsider.

Andy, if you want I can send my DO's up with Cakes and then you won't have to stage a DO at your first sight. Then they will already be there for my dinner on Friday and Breakfast on Saturday. Let me know.

Can't wait to paddle and hang with you guys!

That sounds like a good idea. Load it up. You may not need to hold things in your lap for this adventure.
