    Garlic Snakeskins (Concept)

    Hi All,

I was in the grocery store today and saw some garlic rolled up in some netting. I got the idea that this is more or less a short equivalent of a snakeskin. So I got a roll and tested it tonight. Here are the results:

It looks to me like it would take ~10 of these rolls to cover the whole tarp. Clearly, a longer roll would work better.

    Just a thought

I remember someone posting on having cut open a shower scrubby thing. Kinda the same netting.... But much greater length. I believe it worked like a charm.

I feed my dogs sweet potatoes,(among other things,) that come in larger bags like that. I've saved dozens of them trying to come up with a good use like that.

Problem I had was being able to stitch them together...

If you had a roll of it it would be pretty neat, but it is stretchy. Thought about it watching the guy "tube" Christmas trees...

Good idea, think the shower scrub idea will be easier and cheaper though, and your breath won't scare off vampires Shower scrub thread here http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=60317 diva posted some good pics in post #41.

Oh yeah. Check this out: CLICKITY

Bottom line: Pantyhose just aren't strong enough. Use nylon tights or leggings, not pantyhose. And use the full length (including the panty all the way up to the waist). Just cut them in half down the middle, sew each one shut from crotch to waist and add a hole in each toe, and sew some cordage at the waist to tie the two together around your gear. You're golden.
