Other than deciding if you would rather down or synth, you really cannot go wrong with the vendors here on HF. In the end, it may simply come down to availability and how quickly you would like one

I just got a Nunatak Arc Specialist. Best quality quilt I've ever owned. Theyre expensive though, but well worth it and awesome fabrics.

I went with a HammockGear burrow because I often sleep on my side and they come in easy configurations of standard length (I'm about 5'11") but extra width. Just slept in it last night, in fact, and with a fleece on it brought me down to the rated temp of 20*. Very nice.

I am leaning towards the HG borrow, but the Leighlo looks good also, then there is UGQ that is getting a big buzz lately, I know that they are all good, is there anything that stands out above the other?

Just placed an order for a Burrow 20 degree with 2 inches additional down. Can't wait!

    DIY route

If you are into it, you can always go the diy route which can be less expensive and very fulfilling. As far as cottage guys go I dave been very impressed with the amount of praise towards Enlightened Equipment's Quilts, plus everyone on BPL says that Tim Marshall is great to work with.

This is semi-unrelated but would it be cheaper for a top quilt vs a sleeping bag because your weight renders it useless and with a topquilt you do not have to pay for all that down. ( Or isthat just misinformation)
