Will anyone by going east on 84 (up the river) and be carpooling with someone so they could possibly pick up my truck and take it to the lake from Eagle Creek or Cascade Locks? I would like to hike in but won't have time to hike out.

The other option would be to give me a ride back that way, which might be easier, but I would like to have my truck at the camp for extra gear and the like. I am going to try to do some PCT magic while there also.

Right now this is the two options I am thinking for the hike it.

    1) Follow the PCT from the Cascade Locks up to Wahtum Lake. Probably camp on the Benson Plateau. Thursday and Friday.

    2) Hike in on the Ruckel Ridge trail and then the PCT to the lake. Days and camps the same.

I would rather hike ridges and high country then come up the Eagle creek trail.

    Any thoughts?

Hey, everyone...I have some bad news (at least for me). I will, unfortunately, not be able to make this years summer hang due to prior commitments at work. I thought I would be able to make it, but it is now clear that I won't be able to take the time off. Sometimes it just does not pay to be the boss

The good news is that the raffle will go on without me I have made arrangements with Rip Waverly to run the raffle instead. Same rules as before, it's just that Rip will be running it. THANKS RIP! YOU ROCK, BUDDY!

    Raffle Rules:
Ticket prices will be the same as last year ($20.00 per person), and no, you cannot buy more than one ticket per person. You can certainly donate extra money to this years charity, the USO (United Servicemen's Organization), if you like. Also, you must be present to win. Tickets will go on sale at Rip Waverly's campsite on Friday, August 9 at 6 pm. Raffle to be held on Saturday, August 10 at 5pm.
    NOTE:
If you happen to win a prize, please contact the donating company when you get home and say thank you for helping our charity. Good manners and a simple "thank you" goes a long way and will make them more apt to donate in the future.

I sure am going to miss being there with you guys this year, but I know you will all have a great time. Remember...pics or it did not happen

So anyone from the 360 heading that way? I'm new, interested and hopeful to carpool to save gas. This area is pretty **** far from Kingston, WA. I can be ready to roll Thursday evening, well, even sooner if that fits the gas share needs.

Bummer BF. I hope everything at work goes well.

Alas, it looks like DFab and I can only swing a day trip this year. We want to see everyone, so we are definitely heading out there for a couple hours, but we just can't swing an overnight stay, dag nabbit!

Looking forward to seeing everyone and we'll miss everybuggy that can't make it this year.

Looks like the weather is going to be a bit crazy. Chance of thunder storms and precipitation.

Hey, BigFoot2 sorry you can not make the Hang. You and tweety did such and excellent job of organizing everything last year, and I know you have been working diligently on making this years Hang and excellent event.
