Just a note: the poll has a misleading typo. Last choice says "don't car" when I think it should say "don't care."
Looks like im doing some miles to find a great site this year lol

It's on my calendar now. Looking forward to seeing y'all and some new folk.
EUREKA!!!
I think I have a location for this years hang:
Wahtum Lake (between The Columbia Gorge and Mt. Hood)!
For those looking to hike in, you can take the Eagle Creek trail to Wahtum lake (26.5 miles round-trip, or 13 miles one way with a shuttle out from Wahtum Lake).

For those looking to drive in to the trailhead and car camp, drive east of Portland on I-84 to Hood River and the Highway 35 junction. Follow Highway 35, following signs to Odell, then Dee. At Dee, cross the Hood River, and turn left, following signs, then veering right 5 miles from Dee where a sign points to Wahtum Lake. Follow paved Road 13 for 4.2 miles, then go right on paved Road 1310 for 6 miles to the trailhead. Parking can be tight at the trailhead, but there is plenty of space along the approach road, just south of the trailhead.

It's been 4 years since I was at Wahtum Lake, but I do remember that the trees were VERY large there and I needed to use strap extenders. Just an FYI.
So...what does everyone think? Hike in AND car camp....best of both worlds BAM! Bigfoot does it, AGAIN

I have done that hike before, its a good 13 mile hike lol. You can also park not very far from the lake and hike a 1/2mile in. Problem from my past experiences is its popular and get lots of noisy groups. Last 2 times I was there there were several groups of young peeps blaring music and drinking. But I have not been there with a hammock yet I must say....
Now if we can get some peeps up there early.. for people that have never been, Eagle Creek is Amazing!
Especially for our out of towners.. If you can handle the 13 miles in you wont regret it.
Could always arange for cars to be closer to the lake so some people can through hike it.

Yup....Eagle Creek is one of my favorite hikes (once you get past the "tourons", that is). Just hike past Tunnel Falls and the crowds thin out the farther from the trail-head you hike.

Last time I hiked the Eagle Creek Trail to Wahtum Lake:
