seems like snake skins would be a big help. use for both tarp and hammock.

keep everything tidy while hooking up, and be easy to pack away too.

Thought it might be. Nice to meet you. I'd offer to shake your hand but we might struggle with that.

I'll explain my whole set up to you if you like but it's probably best done in bite sized chunks.

First I hang my tarp like this. And I don't use snakeskins. I prefer 3 small loops of shockcord which do the same job but are cheaper/easier to make, lighter and they let a wet tarp dry out.

There's plenty of ways to carry on your fishing. Let's talk more.

Thanks everyone for the great input. I will be looking at a hammock Saturday and will take your input to help with my decision.

I spoke a good while last night with my Doc friend. He said he thinks that the rings would be a good suspension option. He had a few ideas but mostly confirmed what I thought...said he honestly would defer to me if he had the situation brought to him.

He did say that he would be happy to offer any help he could if you want to talk with him via phone or email. PM me for his details if you would like. He was very willing to talk, when he called me back he kept saying this sort of thing is exactly what he does daily and that he was happy to try and help if he can.

If I can get some time this weekend, I'm going to give a try at setting up/taking down my current hammock setup with one arm. I'm thinking that if I leave the 'biners attached to the straps in the MSH knot, that it might be doable to adjust the whoopies one-handed.

If I can get it to work, I'll get some video so that you might see if that would work for you as well.

Thanks OWL. I tried the whoopies on my first hang. I got it to work but I ended up having to use my extra hand( My teeth) to try to loosen and tighten. It was a little awkward. ( Sorry ChickenWing).
