Ever dry product 100% water repellent

This sort of stuff has been talked about before on the forums but to my knowledge there hasn't been a product for the market yet until I ran across this on treehugger.com. I don't know costs but a tarp with this coating would be sweet.

I was just watching there video today... I think they recently started getting a lot of attention.

They do say handling reduces effectiveness... But it look semi simple to apply if you have an air compressor.

For those who have not seen, the video is amazing:

There is a link to an application video at the end.

I saw that video a few days ago and forgot to post here. My friend went to their website and they had a note going on top of the screen that said something about that video going viral and that it will be hard to contact them for a while.

I'm pretty sure whoever owns that product became overnight millionaires... I'd buy a few gallons of the stuff. Especially since I read on the site that it is breathable if used in thin enough layers. But I'm pretty sure it will be mostly just large companies who will have access to it for a while. We'll see.

I wonder how many of these nano tech water repellents there are? Hopefully there are a some more out there because this brand looks like it will cost $150 for a quart. I was expecting expensive, but not that expensive.

Two part can be applied without an air compressor, they sell hand pumps or use your own. The only reason I am not ordering some right now is the translucent white color....transparent not available yet.

Really cool product. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this technology over the next 10 yrs. The only downside I see with it is the lack of abrasion resistance. Simply handling it with bare hands can cause reduced effectiveness according to their video and FAQs. Sounds like something I'd want to spray my truck with, since I dont like to wash it often.

I was wondering about the issue of handling myself. They put this stuff on boots and gloves as an example so I'm guessing it can handle some sort of abuse. I wonder how much it can handle?

I just read about this stuff in an article. It will be really interesting to see what the HF geniuses figure what to do with this stuff.
