    Hennessey expedition insulation

Looking at getting an underquilt for my HH Expedition. Will the Jarbidge work with a HH? I saw the Potomac but that is more than I can spend right now. Thought about taking a sleeping bag and modifying. (More research) Just wondering what kind of underquilts might work well. I could probably get by with a 3 season.

+1 on Jacks R Better. I have the classic (bottom) entry and Jacks Nest is perfect.

Yes the jarbidge will work. It is just a short version of the Potomac from my understanding.

Ps I have plans of getting one for my upcoming birthday.

I have both. The Potomac fits the Expedition like a glove...it completely covers the bottom of the hammock, and doesn't move. It was made for the Expedition. It's cut to match the offset tie outs.

The Jarbidge works fine on the Expedition. It is a rectangle shape, so there is more fiddling around to get it set up just right, and it can move around on you through the night a bit. When weight is less of a factor I always use the Potomac.

I've used my HG Phoenix 0* with the HH Expedition with good results. I did disconnect the secondary suspension that keeps the UQ in place as that suspension seemed a bit short for the HH. Worked like a champ, though it was only about 30-35*.

I have only used the Jarbidge, so far, as a supplement to the HHSS on my HH Expedition- putting it underneath the ocf pad but still inside the undercover. However, the Jarbidge fit snugly, and I don't doubt it would do the same used by itself.

    Hennessey expedition insulation

I ordered the HHSS today. I figured I'll keep using Hennessy stuff for now. Then when I feel comfortable I can get a nest from JRB and use the undercover together. That way the UQ will be protected. Just my thinking anyway. Now need to start saving for my TQ

Very happy with my Hennessy and MT CUSTOM Stormcrow!
