    Sold subforum?

Would there be any merit to a sold subforum? I know the old threads are kept for archive purposes, but would it be worth having them "cleaned up" in a seperate area? It may keep new items from being pushed deeper in the forum by "sold" threads.

    Just a thought.

+1....I use the forum for a price check on certain items. For some reason a lot of posters delete the price paid before they have the mods close the thread. Maybe leave the prices and just move them to the "sold" box.??

I can see this being helpful for sure - if its not a huge fix for the mods.

I agree, and maybe it would be easier for the mod's to just start on a certain date and anything sold before that date will stay in the for sale thread. The sold stuff in the for sale thread would work there way down and then it would greatly clean up the for sale thread so it would be easier to find the stuff that is for sale and not already sold. Also, if the mod's wanted they could put sold stuff in the sold folder as they found time.

    Re: Sold subforum?

I agree, it's a great idea. Don't know how much work it would create for the mods or if it could be done so the seller can move it after the sale? I also don't think the seller should be allowed to remove the price after the sale... otherwise there is no point in having the thread in the archives, in my mind anyway.

This seems like a great idea to keep the for sale forum cleaner; additionally, it is a great historical area to lookup gear prices for items you may be interested in.

I would like to see items that have sold either deleted or moved to a sub forum such as this. I find it annoying to get excited about seeing something I can use, only to waste time finding out it is already sold.

Most forums have a thread deletion policy, once it has sold you are supposed to delete it. (not that everyone does...)

    Thanks for listening!

I agree on leaving the price ... or even posting the actual prices items sell for.

But otherwise what about posts with multiple items, some are sold and some are not?

Wait until all the items sell, or the seller pulls the sale. I like the idea. I
Instead of having mods lock the threads when they sell, how much more work would it be to have them moved and locked?
