    HF flags

I see there is some difference in the font but if you have a suggestion for a different one then I can get it and use it instead. I would probably have to go with solid colors rather than the fade that seen in the background and sun (I DO like those fades though). I have not made a flag before but this sounds like some fun.

I don't know the font... I wonder if attroll knows? Anyone else know what font that is on the site?

Thanks Adam, it does sound like fun.

Are we talking about mini flags here or are we talking about a full size flag?

I think if we are talking about a flag that is going to represent our web site then we should use the image in our logo. It only makes sense.

I can provide anyone with a high resolution graphic if they are going to take on this project.

The font for the forum header is Ariel Alternative. The font in the images I just posted is Franklin Gothic Medium.

    Not sure what size yet..

I might want to have a few different sizes. I think I actually like the one with the phrase better. The logo is perfect.

I'd be willing to get them done by a flag maker. I've had burgees made before, for sailing associations. You send them a graphic, and they send you flags. Of course, they will give you a fixed price before you place your order, and you can shop around.

The flag should be 18" to 24" on the top edge, and proportional in the other dimension. If it is smaller than 18", no one will be able to read the text unless it is right in front of them. We should specify the dimensions.

I agree with Adam... the phrase on top is a good thing!

Can you find out how much that would cost given the info we have, please?

Turns out the image can be printed on nylon flags, if we can provide vector artwork and specify PMS colors. So, I have (2) Questions for ATtroll:

    1) Can you provide vector artwork?

    2) Can you provide PMS colors?

If you cannot do this, then I'll find a way to use the jpg to produce a vector file, and specify the closest match in PMS colors.

It looks like a 12" X 18" format will work well.

I'll have the first cost estimate soon!
