Just had surgery on my knee yesterday. (torn Miniscus) Rehab set up for MWF. Hoping to sweet talk the Doc. into letting me go. Also hoping it feels better by then. So I guess I might be on the maybe list this year. Anxious to check out the new location and old faces, hoping to be there.

I was in the Deam Friday thru Sunday. Spent Friday night on the peninsula and had a great time. I did a lot more hiking than I planned and the terrain can really beat up the old feet!

I stopped by the spot on Saturday afternoon and passed rcam1977 on the way out; good meeting a fellow hanger finally! He said Mule was packing up so I must have just missed him. I spent the night there anyway and it was amazing! I love the creek and little waterfalls - put me right to sleep!

Unfortunately I cannot make the Hoosier Hang next weekend since I have a wedding in Indy. Got a few ticks on me already so keep an eye out next weekend. Have a great time guys!!

    Hoosier Hang 2013??

Well I got my pack down to 31 lbs but think I need to shave some more weight, I knew I was out of shape before I hiked to the hang location Saturday but the hike out let me know I was really out of shape and that was just with my edc bag, next weekend is going to be brutal hiking back out, I often wonder why I let myself get in such bad shape before I decided to do something about it. But I am still looking forward to it

I could be a bit off, but this will get you close: 39.041453,-86.303734.

The red and white tape Mule put up on the trees right off the path really helped me out. Thanks Mule!! I wish I could have caught up with you; I think I just missed you by a few minutes.

These coordinates will get you really close as I took them off my topo software on my puter that I use with my Delorme GPS.
    N 39* 2.439'
    W 86* 18.193'

But,,its my understanding the trail is marked and you shouldn't have any problem of finding it.

Parking lot at the Hickory Ridge Lookout Tower is:
    N 39* 2.069
    W 86* 19.263
    2nd CAG, CAP 2-1-5 5th Marines, 1st Mar. Div.

cram, It was really good to meet you. Thanks for the paracord bracelet, I took it off my pack where I had it and will find a better place for it, perhaps on my wrist. I also corrected you name on the list. See you Friday.

Hoosier, I have had that done on 3 knees. LOL. and need it on a forth. It will be difficult for you to hike that far with your knee swollen but I do hope you do make it.
