Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
I wouldn't mind trying something new, I have never been to panther branch before. I won't complain either way. I am just happy it worked out to be on a weekend that I can make in April.
Thanks for taking point, Mule.
I'm OK with whatever the majority wants to do. Unless it's really stormy, I'd like to keep moving. Otherwise, it would be nice to have day-hike opportunities. I'm planning on arriving Friday morning, wherever we end up.

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
I need some volunteers to hike to Panther Creek and Hayes Branch to mark the trail to Hayes Branch. Anyone who has some time I could meet you at Crooked Creek Lake one of these weekends. Then we would drive from there to the trailhead at the Tecumseh trail to begin. By doing this we could decide whether or not parking at CC Lake and walking the road would be feasible and agreeable. I wish there was more room for parking at the trailhead. If we go to Hayes Branch on the second night , we will be hiking back the same route back passing again panther creek camp. Meeting at Panther branch first would be good due to the trail being so well marked from the parking lot on the Tecumseh. But that would mean walking 1/2 to 1 mile on the road from Crooked Creek Lake to the trailhead.
We COULD park on the road at the trailhead too, as long as everyone parked on one side only.

I'm ready..... Picked up a couple of goodies this winter and anxious to try them out. Come on April !
Mule Give me a call, and a date, if it is a 1 nighter, I can make it happen. We can scout around, and pack light....
Bonsihiker....I hope you and I can share a fire together this time. Seems like every time we are passing more than meeting.
I'm with Scott, if its raining, I would prefer to stay in one spot....but I will migrate with the majority.....

The only Easy day was yesterday.
I Plan on being there
As things appear now, I should be able to make it. It would be nice to try something new. If I get time to drive down and hike that area, I'll send you an email Mule. I've spent a lot of time in the Yellowwood SF area.
Hangers,
I need to pencil this on my calendar ... April 12-14?
Mule, please confirm the date? And thanks for stepping up Mister Marine.
Hike anywhere, short or long is fine with me ... especially since my pack will weigh about 15 pounds for the weekend ...
