I'll be in Friday some time. Was thinking of arriving mid-morning, but I may wait for krugd to get off work. That would put us at the Fire Tower at 3:00 at the very earliest.

Hmmm, I thought I was here last weekend but I'm starting to wonder if I camped somewhere else just south of the spot? I probably only walked 3 minutes after turning north off the Sycamore trail. Only passed 2 pieces of tape. There was a fire pit someone made out of stones right at the corner where two streams come together and a few small waterfalls. Someone definitely cut some small trees to clear an area, but I didn't notice a lot of good hanging trees so maybe I wasn't at the official spot.
