Mule, I was planning on hiking no matter what. The wife wants to come along again too. I'm up for someplace new or old. I'll definitely be there Fri - Sun., but will try to fit in a Thur. also. Im no help this year as I'm graduating and have the senior project going on, so I've been out of service for a bit...

Note: I can probably do an over-nighter (Fri-Sat) hike to set flags out, just let me know a week before (my gear is already packed). I'll be at the Deam Wilderness the week after this one for a break-in of a new and improved hammock, but could make changes if needed.
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.

    Pack an "extra" hammock?

    Mule "the" Marine,

    Extra hammock? Haaaaaaaaaaaaa You Funeeeeeeeeeee

Mule pack MORE weight? Haaaaaaaaaa You Fun to hike behind

Hey, NO more hammocks failing ... Been there, done that !

Besides that 24" hammock you got in and rippppppppp'it in two are no more.

Failing Bridge hammocks? Been there and done that. Trying to engineer a light bridge. NO can do. Besides, the sailboat sail material (Polyester, not nylon) I found hardly stretches at all. Thus, yo' hammock lay is nearly a flat as a "bridge" hammock. www.dplightweightbackpackinggear.com

Plus, that Bridge that failed was on the Hill. (Browning Hill) And you know me and the Hill. Being haunted, it has nearly ALWAYS done something to me out of the ordinary. Yup, I'm ready to hit the Hill again just to see what she throws at me ... again.

So ... Mule pack MORE? Hey, good buddy, I wouldn't wish that on your back for anything. Besides, my 15 pounder is tried and proven now. WAY reliable while I "skip" along watching, uhhhhhhhhhh you know, slap those hoofs deep into the mud ...

AND, Thanks for confirming April 12-14. Hey, thinking of Lucky 13th ... How about Browning Hill that nite? I figure hanging on the Hill the 13th, why, why, who knows what might happen. Maybe the aliens might return, maybe the Indians crawl out from under those massive "blocks"? Maybe all the Hill snakes crawl out of the cistern? Maybe the Hill pond frogs turn into ... Maybe ... Maybe ...?

Remember the "blood orange" full moon rising on the "HILL"?

Tonka and I are thinking about the weekend of the 23rd and not sure whether to make it a day hike or an overnighter. What would you rather?

Thanks for the confirmation on the dates.

From reading the posts, it looks like the consensus is Panther Creek.
    Is this official yet?

Hey everyone, Is a noob to the site welcomed. I should be free that weekend. Would love some first hand knowledge from y'all. Check out setups and figure out my next step to make the hammock even better.
