    3. Which browser and version of the browser are you using when this problem happens?
    4. Are you getting an error message, if so what is the message you are getting?
    5. When did this problem start happening?
    6. Does it happen on any other computers that you use with the same browser and browser version?

    Thank you

    3. IE8 and Google Chrome (work computer only)

    4. No message other than chrome saying it cannot connect to HF,

On IE8 it said: Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?
This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection which could compromise the security of the entire webpage

Thanks for looking into this for us. Much appreciated.

    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. IE8 (I believe) could be 9
    4. It tells me IE cannot open page. Run the diagnostic and it says cannot ping HF.

    6. Did not try other computers but unplugged and created a mobile hotspot and it worked (for the short time I tried).
    7. Sorry don't have it.

Seems I will refresh, delete history and cookies, run a web eraser, run the diagnostic and cross fingers and sometimes it works. Once I do have it up, it seems good until I shut down (will open first thing and then I lose it), log off, or lock computer.

    Thanks again.

I hadn't been able to get to the site for about a week from home. The only thing that would come was some sort of web host error page. Worked from work and from my phone if wifi was off.
Finally had time to dig into it tonight. Long story short, after a series of nslookups figured out my dns was returning the wrong ip. I'm thinking that it might have something to do with the fact I was using opendns for a dns provider. I went to the site and requested they refreshed their dns cache. It started working shortly after that.
Opendns is a commonly used internet provider independent dns service so If what I did was what actually fixed it for me, it might have fixed some of the issues for others especially the problems with the work PC's

To see if its a dns issue on a windows pc, open a command prompt (start>run> cmd.exe )
an old DOS looking box should come up
type in nslookup and hit return
at the > prompt type in www.hammockforums.net hit return
if you get any result other than 206.123.103.86 then your problem is likely DNS related.
Google nslookup for more comprehensive instructions.

This is the site I used to refresh the opendns cache http://www.opendns.com/support/cache/

I was in the middle of a purchase Sunday night. Kind of upsetting, the seller probably thinks I am crazy. I just went to send a follow up message, and the message would not send, just reverted back to Yahoo.
