    Indoor install question for Hammock

I have a friend who is going to be installing a few rigging points throughout his parents home for a Hammock. is there any special trick to installing or special equipment necessary? I was thinking of just getting him some heavy duty threaded eyes and screwing right into the studs behind the dry wall, but I wanted to check first and see if anyone had any experience with this type of set up. Indoor stand is out of he question as space is somewhat limited and my friends kid will be using the hammock in different rooms in the home throughout the day.

    Any help appreciated.

I simply use 2 3/8 inch I bolts in studs. My bedroom is 16' long so it's simply perfect. Make sure you're in a stud though!!

    eye bolt

Same here, a 3/8" eyebolt. I used a finish nail to find either side of the stud, and was sure to drill a pilot hole exactly in the center of the stud. If the pilot hole was a little off center, it would split when the bolt was screwed in, I could hear it break/split out. I weigh about 180, and there has been not the slightest sound from the stress.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

Many folks also bolt a board across several studs and attach eye bolts to that. It helps spread the forces a bit.

I would offer that the closer you hang the screw to the ceiling would minimize stud deflection as it would be retained by the top plate connection. I also think a board across several studs would be a good idea.
