Tarp line tangling. What's your secret?

8 have a big tarp with pull outs and doors. I suspend it on a continuous ridge line and pack in its own snakeskin.
Its a great set up other than the odd tangled line after unpacking. Usually when setting up in a hurry at dark lol.
    Anyone have any good solutions?

I figure 8 hank all my lines before pulling my tarp sleeves on and then do the same for the ridgeline lines.

I prefer to use cordage that resists tangling no matter the conditions.

Zing-it and Dynaglide both have served me well for years of stuffing my tarps without hanking or coiling my tieout lines prior to stuffing.

If you decide to stick with more tangle-likely cord - hanking, coiling, figure-eighting, all work well.

I know that I spend a lot less time hanking than I do untangling. Search YouTube and learn a method.

I started with a Hennessy set-up and found the tarp lines they provided got tangled easily even though their tarps have convenient stuff pockets. So, I started hanking the lines and that really helped.

Then, I started using Zing It/Lash It along with hanking. The stiffness of these lines seem to reduce tangling.

However, it still takes me too long to get my tarp set up. So, I'll be following this thread for more tips.

Someone on here recommended wrapping the line around the D-rings on the tie outs and that has worked well for me.

tarp snake skin eliminates hanking and tangling. cords just slide in with the
tarp when you slide the snake skin on and when you slide skins off the cords just fall down with never a tangle
