Give it up for hangers supporting hangers!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give credit where credit is due. I was recently approached by my local community college about teaching some type of wilderness class, so I designed an "Eco-Camping" class where I (of course!) will teach hammock camping. At the same time I started a chapter of Trail Dames, a hiking group for women. As the "Head Dame" of my chapter, I can organize all kinds of stuff and I want to continue my quest to convert all human beings to hammocks (I mean...who wouldn't right?). So I approached Brandon with Warbonnet Hammocks and Tom Hennessy w/Hennessy Hammocks about donating a few hammocks so that I can promote their products and then I'll also have gear to teach total newbs how to hang for many years to come.

Well I'm excited and SO APPRECIATIVE for the fact that both of these companies/gentlemen were able to donate some gear to these causes. Just wanted to let the hanging community know that the gear companies also pay it forward when they can.

I had never heard of Trail Dames before. I think that is awesome. We need more hangers of the female variety!!! I'm sure the guys would agree.

don't forget about adding in the tablecloth hammocks to the flock... something you can TEACH them how to make would also make an interesting lesson... if ordering on a large scale you should be able to get each hammock down to $20 range... or be patient with the sales...

other than that congrats on being a teacher, not all are called for it... go get 'em...

This is a wonderful story, great to hear that more women (and people in general) will have the great opportunity to enjoy and explore the great outdoors.

Major Kudos's to the fine folks at Warbonnet and Hennessy for contributing to such a wonderful cause, and to you Michele for taking on the wonderful task of enlightening others.

For any women out there who are curious about Trail Dames, here's their website: www.traildames.com

We've got 8 chapters now and anyone can start a chapter! A great group of women for sure and we all volunteer.
