    Webbing Cinch Buckles, Which One?

    So guys-

For any of you who have used both the Warbonnet and the Dutch Cinch Buckle suspension, which do you prefer and why?

I prefer the Dutch (onrope1) buckles, because they are bomb proof, and there is zero fiddle factor. If I were counting grams, I believe the WB buckles are a bit lighter. But then, if I were counting grams, I'd have whoopies.

+1. I prefer Dutch over the Warbonnet. While the Warbonnet system is nice, I find the Dutch buckles easier to use.

In the end, though, I prefer an inverted whoopie sling attached to the tree straps with a whoopie hook at the end. Then, each of my hammocks have a small continuous loop through their channel and I just connect the whoopie hook to that.

Warbonnet. It came that way and works just fine. I trust the man.

I like the Dutch ones because they a little to adjust and are one piece. As mentioned they are a bit heavier but not much. I use a continuous loop prusiked around the buckle (two wraps) with the double thick part of the continuous loop making the prusik. I like this because it stays centred.

I get the rings from slingrings.com the 2inch ones. The ones in the picture are 3 inch but you get the idea.
