I just made myself a PLUQ!

I had a poncho liner lying around and cannot even remember where or when I got it. It may have been at a surplus store, but 15+ years ago.

It is very flat; practically no loft at all. I have been using it with my indoor hammock lined with a SOL heat sheet.

I just ordered two new liners, so I thought I would go ahead and experiment with the "bad" one. It should be enough for inside, and now I can more confidently make ones for outside!

I just made myself a PLUQ!

A lot easier than I thought. A project I've been thinking of doing, and did so pretty much on a whim. I won't hesitate when the new ones get here!

I love my PLUQ. It always goes with me on a car-camping trip. Last group hang in Big Bear, the temps were going to be colder than my Lost River UQ has seen, so I put the PLUQ from Feet to back, and my Lost river over it from head to knees. I was toasty warm at 27 degrees!

My brother jimmy-rigged his PL to use with his GT since another Marine forgot his sleeping pad and my brother let him use his. Used it with his USGI cold weather bag and black bivy and was good down into the low 20's. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with yours, especially in conjunction with an E-blanket.
