Just recieved my 20 degree Lynx with a extra oz of down

Just got my Lynx today,,a 20 degree with a extra oz of down,,,and just like all the past reviews of other members that have received theirs..its a absolutely awesome quilt that is a awesome fit. I put a 3 inch loop of shockchord with a Dutch plastic clip on the foot end (to the mini biener) to vent it as its super warm testing it and laying in it inside the house. Pefectly made...wtg Warbonnetguy for another awesome piece of equipment to hang with. Very well thought out design with no fiddle factor whatsoever. Just clip it on the RR and hang. Well worth the money spent for this quilt. 18.2 ozs on the money total weight and thats with extra oz added.

And,,well worth the wait!

I have it rigged to vent and will hang in the house tonite as usual, and see if I can vent it and hang warm in 65 degree heat with it. It will either be vented just right.

or I will bake.

. I just have to try it out!

try a two inch gap on the head end ,works well for me in a basement at 65 degrees. Congrats on the nice gear.

Its about what I have,,2" on the head,,and 1 on the foot for tonite. I can still feel the warmth a bit.

I just wanted to report on last nites lay with this quilt vented and it is the first 20 degree quilt I have ever owned that vented perfectly in 65 degree temps. Slept like a baby and was never hot. Was absolutely perfectly warm but not hot or sweaty. This quilt on the RR does vent perfectly and I think alot of it is because you lay so flat in the RR. I have always had a minor heat problem venting the 20 degree quilts in a gathered end hammock of being either too cool or too hot trying to vent a quilt that had alot of down in it. No cold butt either. Awesome nites sleep with the 20 quilt on. Its truly a 3 season quilt.

Will continue to use it and test it out.

Ive been thinking to myself in my rr,that i might try to drill an extra hole in the two spreader bar plates at the head end,so that i can run a piece of 1.75 zing it through them.

I would then tie one end to the lynx suspension loop,with a piece of bungy between the 1.75,and the loop.

On the two lines inside the hammock ,i would join them into a loop with a taut line hitch. These would run right beside my hiking poles ,so they wouldnt inhibit view any more that the poles.

Now from the loops on the lynx to the ground with some bungy,and a stake in the middle of the v shaped bungy,or 1.75 with a piece of bungy long enough to get three or four inches of pull. I like the bungy in case you trip on the lines it would give for at least half of the v.

You now have a thermostat loop,if you get hot loosen the taut line loop ,and the bungy on the botto pulls the u q away from you .

Tighten the loop ,and it come right back to warbonnet position.

You never have to get up to adjust it,and it doesnt weigh much to do.

Hey you lucky folks, I don't have a Lynx yet. Did you use your JRB or other quilts on the RR before you got the Lynx? If so, how did you get them rigged and adjusted correctly, for a snug fit but not too tight?

Yes, I used my jrb Snivvler TQ and a full length WL UQ - both work just fine.
TQ no probs,
UQ used the WL suspension, and on the side loops of the UQ attached couple JRB suspension bungees with mictobiners to snug-up a bit.

But - just received the new Lynx UQ -- Lunx Fits the RR like a custom-made glove
