    DIY Tyvek Stake/Suspension/Misc Organizer

First of all, I got the idea somewhere on here a few months ago, I think. I can't remember who it was that did this but if someone lets me know, I'll edit this to give them credit.
EDIT: It was ExPXGUY's that I'm remembering. Thanks, ExPXGUY!

This was ridiculously simple, (essentially) free, and hopefully functional. And it's lightweight.

Started with a Tyvek mailing envelope, peeled off the little strip to seal it, and sealed it up:

Folded it in half such that it would fit the biggest thing I planned on putting in there, which was a big steel stake in my case:

Drew a line 1" from the crease on either side:

    Cut that section out:

Drew lines where I wanted the divisions between pockets to be:

Then sewed on the lines (doesn't look any different, I know. XD ):

    Load it up:
Two tree huggers, two toggles, two Dynaglide whoopies, two steel stakes, 4 Ti hook stakes, 4 MSR Groundhog Minis

Roll it up and stick a small loop of shock cord around it:

The organizer with the loop of shock cord:

14 grams, perfectly acceptable to me! Hopefully it works out well, I don't see why it shouldn't.

Nice organizer, and for 14g I can't see a reason to ever leave it behind.

Looks great--light, cheap, functional. I think Sgt Rock had a stake bag he had made out of a tyvek envelope--don't know if that was what you had seen or not.

but there are so many ideas floating around this place that it could have been somewhere else. If so, glad to see you take to the next level.

I like that idea... I like organizing stuff... And I hate things clinking together in ny pack... I like my pack to be as quiet as possible when I walk so that may solve a few issues in one swipe...

    Very nicely done!

May I suggest leaving it open at first? Then one can slip a cutting board inside.

I love those envelopes....this organizer is a great idea, and definitely solves a problem I have with loose gear like that. In fact I could almost organize my entire backpacking kit of small items into a one or two of these....awesome.....great, now I can't wait to get back home!

My brother-in-law drop ships gifts to us ever since he moved to CA, and they always add extra return envelopes, I have about ten waiting to be deployed....woobuddy. Stuff sacks, bridge bar sack, and definitely this organizer!

    DIY Tyvek Stake/Suspension/Misc Organizer

Lol, this is funny, I ordered tyvek envelopes thru my business and was going to dream up ways to use them. Good stuff. Thing I had to acknowledge when ordering them is a message that I could be prosecuted for using us mail envelopes for other than what was
Intended. That message popped up just before confirming the order.
I could only find the one size else would love a backpack liner size envelope. I wonder about ups having one...
