Hello from Windham, Maine, Like you I'm just starting out. I had my wife sew some ripstop nylon to make me a hammock and I love it. No mosquito netting though so yesterday I ordered a Blackbird hammock and can't wait to get it.

Hello from Oxford, ME. I am new to hammock camping and this forum, but not new to sleeping in hammocks (have been full time sleeping in a hammock for almost 7 years). My family laughs at me for the time I have spent reading and learning from the forum, but they like that fact they won't have to go to ground camping this summer.

Welcome from Mass! My daughter currently lives in Yarmouth- very close to Portland. I get up there a lot. Last hung at The Desert of Maine Campground outside Freeport. Had a ball!
Hope to see you at a hang someday!
