I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I just use a small plastic bag and a small aluminum carabiner from walmart It holds my headlamp, glasses and a book easily. The same bag has lasted for a month of camping.
When it's time to sleep, I throw it over the side and slide it toward the head of the hammock.
I've always meant to sew up a small bag from scraps, but never got a round tuit.
Grinder
Hiker trash all the way.
I used to hang stuff sacks on the ridgeline with an extra pocket. Now I hang an extra line between the trees and hang my gear from that. Keeps everything off the ground and under the tarp.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
